Holy guacamole, what an incredible & exceptional place this is. No words can define the magic they do with the food. It’s an absolute gastronomic experience. Incredible staff. They easily substitute meat to make it vegetarian. It’s a hidden gem. The food presentation is incredible. A must visit place for Mexican food. Love this place. Always crowded, but wait gets very long in evenings. Great vibe.

Really recommend the lyn mei taco I am pointing at the menu. Also the cochinita taco. Ask for one first since they are really stuffed full. The food pic is the "flautitas de platano" fried tacos stuffed with banana! In the background you can see the boogaloo cocktail. It is the best mezcal with hibiscus drink I have ever tried.

The Toronjo “El Original” at Habanero Negro is a fresh, well-balanced cocktail that showcases the quality of Cascahuin Blanco tequila. The grapefruit and lime bring bright, citrusy acidity, while the rosemary & salt syrup adds an unexpected savory-herbal twist that ties everything together. It’s clean, zesty, and super refreshing—perfect for sipping in Guadalajara’s heat. A great example of how a few thoughtful ingredients can elevate a classic profile.

Tacos, beer, chejuino, great music with a bit of a wait, but overall a cool experience! The wait on a Saturday afternoon was about 20 minutes, and we were first taken to a stand-up area to start with drinks, then later brought to a table on the top floor (though I nearly fell on one of the steps—just a warning). I began with a cocktail before transitioning to trying a chejuino (tejuino mixed with beer), which was quite refreshing (8.5/10). I ordered two tacos: the taco Lyn Mei (the house recommendation) and a taco de cochinita. The Lyn Mei taco had a Thai twist featuring pork belly with sweeter “Asian” sauces on a flour tortilla—it was exquisite and my overall favorite (9/10)! The cochinita taco was just alright, though a bit drier than a typical cochinita pibil taco (6/10). Service throughout our visit was great, and we were checked on frequently, though things slowed down a bit when we were ready to pay. The music and atmosphere were also highlights—it’s a perfect spot for a Saturday afternoon (the queue outside clearly reflects this place’s popularity). I’d recommend reserving ahead (or coming with a bit of extra time), but it’s well worth the wait for great drinks, tasty tacos, and a 10/10 atmosphere.

My favorite drink is the non-alcoholic Tejuino. Before the trip I didn't know such a corn fermented drink. After the trip I think I will always think of this sweet, sour, tart, and salty taste. We also got several other small eats but nothing impressed me as this new drink I discovered :) P.S. it's gluten-free since it's made from corn and so natural. They had a live DJ onsite and murals on the wall are cool too. Good vibes.
